Mount Maunganui Library has a large collection of books, magazines, DVDs, music CDs, newspapers, large print and audio-books, and e-books. There are approximately 326,000 items that are available to visitors, across Tauranga Libraries. Activities hosted onsite include story times for pre-schoolers, holiday programs and class visits for children and teens. Cultural events (e.g. Poetry Night, Matariki and Māori Language Week), book clubs and book launches are also hosted by Tauranga Libraries.

All these accessible parking spaces are curb-side and have clearly allocated markings indicating where the entrance to the curb is. Visitors using these parking spaces should be aware that a bike lane is located directly next to the accessible parking spaces.
